AOS Charlotte Charitable Giving

The AOS Charlotte office is very active in the local community.  Here is a list of a few of the ways they have reached out to various organizations in the region.

Sponsorships – We are members of and have sponsored the following organizations.

• CoreNet Global -- serves a unique function within the corporate real estate industry. They are the only organization that has a focus on the corporate real estate end user and occupier. They connect the entire supply side of the corporate real estate value chain, including the diversity of service providers and economic developers. Their local and global programs reflect that network to help you Connect, Learn, Grow and Belong. www.corenetglobal.org
• Charlotte Regional Partnership -- Founded in 1991, the Charlotte Regional Partnership is a nonprofit, private/public organization dedicated to the planned growth and prosperity of the Charlotte region. www.charlotteusa.com/About/about_growth.asp

Charitable Organizations – It is important that we support those less fortunate then ourselves.   We can not have a great community if we don't care about each other.  America leads the world in charitable giving.

• The Ronald McDonald House -- Through the years, the Ronald McDonald House has been a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children. In Charlotte, the newest Ronald McDonald House also will strive to be a "home for healing" for seriously ill children, providing the warmth and comfort of home, along with emotional support and education to promote the well-being of the entire family. We provide PM support for this project through pro bono work – Leigh Hicks leads this effort.
• CHS Foundation -- Since 1959, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation has steadfastly pursued a single goal: to advance health-related issues, programs and services in the Carolinas that ensure a better quality of life for others. We support this organization through an annual sponsorship of their fund-raising golf tournament.

 The Arts – by having a wide range of cultural and arts activities available to our community we are able to attract and keep a diverse group of people in this region.  It is important to know about our civilization, and the art gives us a picture into many diverse cultures.

• Opera Carolina is the premiere professional opera company in the Carolinas, presenting four main stage productions, the annual Valentine's Concert – Love Notes, and acclaimed Education & Outreach Programs that reach more than 75,000 citizens in North Carolina, South Carolina and northern Georgia each year. We support them by serving on the board and underwriting (sponsoring) a production.

Education Organizations – One of the biggest concerns any family has is the educational experiences available to their children.  The quality of our schools is important to our employees, customers, and our entire community.

• Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools are an important part of our community and an important client for AOS USA, Inc. Over the years we have provided services on favorable terms to help the system deal with growth and renovations.
• UNCC is one of the fastest growing universities in our state and region.  Charlotte is the largest city in the USA without big time college football.  We participated in the drive to extend college football to Charlotte.  The importance of this to our community is demonstrated by the support provided by our leading firms and citizens.
