Project Mission:

To serve as adjunct construction team. Provide logistical planning and project management support to supplement the construction program managers and to coordinate with school personnel. Provide a variety of equipment, move, IT, storage, and miscellaneous services through subcontractor network. Lease, manage, operate 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, receive all equipment, asset manage, stage and ship to 150 schools in the district when needed for installation.

Challenges:

  • Construction schedule changes required objectivity and flexibility
  • Communicate and coordinate the progression of renovation and construction activities so as not to interfere with school activities
  • Vendor management and the establishment of multiple 'stand-by' teams for dispatch to various locations
  • Enormity of the construction and renovation program. Movement of school materials from classrooms to temporary space and back
  • Asset management, including procurement of warehouse space to house all of the curriculum and instruction materials, audio/visual, computers, athletics, janitorial, child nutrition, and other products needed to populate new schools
