Mission

• AOS planned, coordinated and implemented the relocation of Invesco into their new world headquarters location which consists of seven floors, approximately 175,735 sq ft. in Two Peachtree Pointe, Midtown, Atlanta.  They moved from two buildings in Midtown Atlanta.  The project included the transition of 363 employees, equipment, and some miscellaneous furniture.  Invesco's new space was constructed to be LEED Certified.

Challenges

• AOS was brought into this project somewhat late, which created extremely high expectations from the start.
• Many planning deliverables had to be created immediately in order for all departments, vendors, and contractors to work in concert.
• There were thirty-six (36) separate departments to coordinate.
• Freight elevators had to be shared with Xerox, Aramark, and furniture installers requiring detailed coordination and which also resulted in longer work days.
• Original amount of furniture to be relocated was planned to be a minimum amount, but project changes required ten (10) truckloads of reuse items.
• Origin onsite renovations caused elevator usage conflicts and added schedule constraints.
• Each move phase involved multiple floors at origin and destination.

Value Added

• AOS successfully planned and implemented this project faced with “time constraints”.  This was possible by assigning resources to get the project rolling immediately.  AOS was able to work well with Invesco departments to organize and effectively complete the relocation.  AOS was able to reduce the number of move phases, minimizing business disruption by having to operate from different sites.
• AOS used state-of-the-art technology to quickly respond to project changes, as well as better organize post-move issues.
